The Challenge
As the main touchpoint for first-time users, the pieks at-home blood testing kit needed a packaging concept that was both intuitive and visually appealing. Since the brand relies heavily on social media marketing and influencer engagement, the unboxing experience had to be emotionally engaging, photogenic, and easy to share. At the same time, the packaging had to support the testing process itself — reducing user errors and ensuring every step felt clear and manageable. On top of that, the brand wanted a paper-based solution that avoids plastics, is recyclable and responsibly sourced.
Our Solution
We designed a user-centered packaging concept that guides the customer through the testing steps with clarity and confidence. Each component – from lancet to collection tube – is clearly arranged and sorted by testing sequence, helping reduce overwhelm and minimize application errors. Visual cues, tactile design elements, and printed instructions work together to make the process feel safe, easy, and human.
Aesthetically, the packaging reflects the pieks identity: soft, clean, and welcoming — designed to look good in social media while building trust. We collaborated with a UK-based packaging supplier to refine the structural design and ensure every element was made from paper-based, recyclable materials. The result is a thoughtful blend of design, function, and sustainability — turning a medical procedure into a positive, empowering experience.
