The Challenge
The team behind Cher Pierre approached us with a highly specific and innovative idea: to create the first bag designed specifically for truffle hunting. While truffle hunters often rely on a mix of generic rucksacks, treat bags, and tool belts, there was no product on the market tailored to the unique needs of this practice. The challenge was to develop a multi-functional, durable, and washable belt system that would support both the hunter and their dog — all while staying true to Cher Pierre’s values of using natural, plastic-free materials.
Our Solution
We developed a custom belt system that balances performance, comfort, and aesthetic. The design includes removable truffle bags, a magnetically closing treat pouch for quick access during training, and designated compartments for essential tools. To make the product functional in outdoor conditions, we selected a coated textile lining for easy cleaning and ensured all elements were water-resistant and durable. For the outer material, we used MIRUM®, aligning with Cher Pierre’s desire for a natural, vegan, and plastic-free solution.
The result is a refined yet highly practical piece of equipment for truffle hunters — handcrafted in our German atelier and designed to meet real-world use with attention to every detail.
